About my mission
I have been an avid shooter since the age of 18 and a firearms enthusiast for as long as I can remember. I used to simply enjoy going into the woods and to the range to practice. I never really looked for classes to get better, but I always had a drive to become the best shooter I could be to defend myself, my family, and the people I care about.
Like many people, I learned by mimicking what I saw on YouTube and practicing drills on my own. I had to be disciplined and tough on myself. Eventually, I reached a point where I was good but didn't know where to go from there, so I sought professional training.
I've received training from John Correia, Neil Weidner, Mickey Schuch, Gabe White, Ben Stoeger, Tim Herron, and AJ Zito. I've also had the opportunity to shadow Adam Winch and Terry Marles to learn how to be a better instructor, not for me, but for the students. I also have Christopher Bean to thank for being a mentor, guidance counselor, and friend who took a chance on me.
One of the reasons I became an instructor is because I don't want others to fall into the same trap I did—doing the same drills over and over, hoping I'd magically become better. My teaching philosophy is to be deliberate with training. Every drill should answer a question: What is this drill teaching me, and where am I struggling? By understanding the purpose behind the training, we can use our time and money more effectively.
I don't believe in cookie-cutter classes, and I understand that everyone is on their own path. That's why I offer 1-on-1 coaching with a focus on the defensive shooter. Whether you've never touched a gun or you've been shooting your whole life, my goal is to help you build practical skills and make meaningful progress.
I believe being a capable firearms owner goes beyond marksmanship. The more trained, prepared, and informed firearms owners are—not just from a shooting perspective, but from a legal and responsibility standpoint as well—the better it is for our communities. If I can help people become safer, more knowledgeable, and more confident, then I've accomplished my mission.
